The Deputy Director General of LRT reacted to the figures saying:
This year’s Eurovision National Selection Final was truly unpredictable, with many strong, original performers entering the final. For the most part, this has resulted in high ratings and an active voter turnout – a record number of spectators voted in this year’s national selection finale throughout the history of screening in Lithuania. We hope that the big Eurovision will attract at least TV viewers. Already now foreign music professionals, who are well acquainted with the repertoire of Eurovision songs, are predicting the place of our participant in the finals
A further 40,000 viewers watched the final live on the LRT website according to Google Analytics data. On average this years Lithuanian selection process heats and semi-finals were followed by an audience of 400,000 viewers.
