ERT will reveal “SUPERG!RL” the Greek entry for Eurovision 2020 on a special broadcast on March 1.
The date for the reveal of the Greek entry for Rotterdam has been confirmed today by ERT. “SUPERG!RL” by Stefania will be revealed on March 1 at 18:00 CET on the national broadcasters main channel in a special broadcast “Eurovision Countdown”.
Stefania will be competing with ‘SUPERG!RL’ composed by Dimitris Kontopoulos and ARCADE, while the lyrics are by Sharon Vaughn. Dimitris Kontopoulos has been involved in previous Eurovision entries including Belarus 2007, Greece 2009 and Russia 2019. Sharon Vaughn has previously competed as a songwriter at Eurovision with Ireland 2012 and Russia 2019.
Who is Stefania?
Stefania is a seventeen year old singer from Utrecht, the Netherlands. During the course of her career, she has participated in The Voice Kids, and went on to represent the Netherlands at the 2016 Junior Eurovision Song Contest as part of the girl group Kisses. Since then, she has released her first solo single “Stupid Reasons”, as well as her follow up single “Turn Around”.

Greece debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1974, when they were represented by Marinella and the song “Krasi, thalassa kai t’agori mou” which finished in 11th place with 7 points. Three years later Greece earned their first top 5 finish with Paschalis, Marianna, Robert and Bessy who finished in 5th place with “Mathima solfege”. In 2001 Greece achieved their first top 3 result with Antique and the song “I Would Die For You”. The song became a European hit, and charted across the continent. In 2005 Helena Paparizou returned to the Eurovision stage as a solo artist and brought Greece their first, and to date only, victory. Her song “My Number One” won with 230 points, beating runners-up Malta by 38 points.
