Helena Meraai and Evgeny Perlin will host Belarus’ selection show for the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest.
Belarusian broadcaster BTRC has revealed that Helena Meraai and Evgeny Perlin will take the role as hosts of their selection show, which will take place on February 28th. Helena is no stranger to the role as she previously hosted the country’s Junior Eurovision selection show in 2018 and 2019. She also represented Belarus at the Junior contest with her song “I Am The One”.
Evgeny has been the Belarusian commentator at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest since 2017, and the commentator at Eurovision since 2013.

- Anastasia Malashkevich – Invisible
- CHAKRAS Group – La-ley-la
- Nastya Glamozda – Burning Again
- Anastasia Razvadovskaya – Hello
- Jan Yarosh – Fire
- Angelika Pushnova – True Love
- Daria Khmelnitskaya – On Fire
- AURA – Barani svajo
- Keysi – Chili Pepper
- VAL – Da vidna
As previously announced, unlike last year, where the jury alone decided the winner, a mixture of public voting (50%) and jury voting (50%) will decide the Belarusian entrant for Eurovision 2020. In case of a tie, the jury vote will take preference.

Belarus debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2004 and has made it to the final on five occasions. Belarus’ best result in the contest came in 2007 when Dmitry Koldun finished 6th in the final with a total of 145 points. In total Belarus has qualified for the Eurovision final six times in sixteen attempts.
