Tonight four nations are in action, with three nations continue their search, while Iceland begins theirs.
Iceland will be revealing the artists competing in their Eurovision selection process, while Slovenia will be showcasing its unsigned talent hoping to compete in EMA 2020. In Norway and Lithuania it’s time for the second show of each of their selection processes.
The schedule for tonight is as follows:

Norway – Melodi Grand Prix – Semi-Final Two – 19:50 CET
The second semi-final of Melodi Grand Prix 2020 takes place this evening, with four artists from eastern Norway competing.
Four acts from Eastern Norway will be taking to the stage this evening as the 60th edition of Melodi Grand Prix continues. The acts are competing for just one place in the final of Melodi Grand Prix on February 15. The four acts competing this evening are:
- JÆGER – “How About Mars”
- Kim Wigaard & Maria Mohn – “Fool For Love”
- Rein Alexander – “One Last Time”
- Tore Petterson – “The Start of Something New”
The four acts will be drawn into two duels live on stage, from each duel one winner will be crowned. The winners of each duel will then meet in the ‘Gold Duel’ with the winner going to the final of Melodi Grand Prix 2020 on February 15. The results will be entirely determined by online voting.
Didrik & Emil who have pre-qualified for the final alongside four other acts will also be performing the song “Out of Air”.
Lithuania – Pabandom iš naujo – Heat Two – 20:00 CET
Twelve artists are competing in the second heat of the Lithuanian selection process for Eurovision 2020.
Twelve acts are competing for six places in the next round of the Lithuanian selection process. The results this evening will be decided by a combination of in-studio jury voting (50%) and public voting (50%).
The twelve acts are:

- Kristina Jure – “My Sound of Silence”
- Alen Chicco – “Somewhere Out There”
- Indraya – “You and I”
- Germanas Skoris – “Chemistry”
- Viktorija Miškūnaitė – “The Ocean”

- Abrokenleg – “Electric Boy”
- Twosome – “Playa”
- Moniqué – “Make Me Human”
- Voldemars Petersons – “Wings of Freedom”
Changes have been made to the voting process for the jury in this years selection. The jury will no longer comment on all performances and will view the performances in a separate space outside the studio. In addition, the public vote will no longer be shown during the show, with the results only known at the end of the show.
Slovenia – EMA FREŠ – Final – 20:00 CET
Ten acts are competing for just two places in EMA 2020, as Slovenia selects the best of its unsigned talent.
The final of EMA FREŠ takes place this evening in Slovenia hosted by Maja Pinterič and Bojan Cvjetićanin. The show is being used to select two artists to compete alongside the previously announced finalists of EMA 2020.
The ten acts are all acts that are not well known to the Slovenian public and have had limited commercial releases. They were selected after a round of internet heats during the autumn of 2019. The ten finalists are:

- Klarity – Diham
- Lana Hrvatin – Dream
- Parvani Violet – Cupid
- Pia Nina – Tukaj in zdaj
- Saška – Še kar lovim tvoj nasmeh

- Alfirev – Črno bela lika
- Younite – The Cure
The show will feature guest performances from former EMA participants Fed Horses, Lumberjack and Raiven. The final will see two acts qualify for EMA 2020. One act will be chosen by public televote, with a second selected by a three member jury.
Iceland – Söngvakeppnin – Reveal Show – 20:45 CET
Iceland will be revealing the ten acts competing in Söngvakeppnin 2020 this evening.
A thirty minute long introductory show will be revealing the artists in the running to represent Iceland at the 2020 Eurovision Song Contest. The show will be hosted by Björg Magnúsdóttir and Gísli Berg and feature snippets of the ten competing songs.
Ten songs will compete over two semi-finals on February 8 and 15 at the Háskólabíó Conference Hall in Reykjavík. Two songs from each semi-final will advance to the final on February 29 in Laugardalshöll in Reykjavík. RÚV also reserve the right to choose one of the non-qualifying entries as a wildcard for the final.
