Parvani Violet and Saška have been selected to compete in the EMA 2020 final qualifying from EMA FREŠ.
The final of EMA FREŠ has taken place this evening in Slovenia with Parvani Violet and Saška selected to go through to the final of EMA 2020. The two acts were selected from a line up of ten artists who have had limited commercial release before competing in the contest. One act was selected by a jury while one act was selected by the public.
The running order for the show was as follows:

- Younite – The Cure
- Alfirev – Črno bela lika
- Klarity – Diham
- Marmoris – Moj pristan
- Saška – Še kar lovim tvoj nasmeh – Qualified
- Pia Nina – Tukaj in zdaj
- Lana Hrvatin – Dream
- Parvani Violet – Cupid – Qualified
- Astrid in Avantgarden – Sing To Me
The show also featured guest performances from former EMA participants Fed Horses, Lumberjack and Raiven.
Slovenia was one of three countries to join the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993. The country qualified through a specially organised selection round called “Kvalifikacija za Millstreet” which was hosted in Slovenia, seven countries competed for three spots in Eurovision 1993. The country has participated in 22 editions of the Eurovision Song Contest. Their best result came in 1995 when Darja Švajger finished 7th scoring a total of 84 points, she is closely followed by Nuša Derenda who finished 7th in the 2001 contest with 70 points.
