Nika Kalandadze is the latest singer to be eliminated from Georgian Idol, having ended bottom in the televote last night.
Georgian Idol has lost another participant with Nika Kalandadze, the latest to be eliminated from the show. The singer scored 9.53% of the vote leaving her bottom at the end of the show, and now out of the running to represent Georgia in Rotterdam.

- Davit Rusadze – 10.01%
- Mariam Shengelia – 9.98%
- Mariam Gogiberidse – 9.91%
- Nika Kalandadze – 9.53%
Georgia is using Georgian Idol to select its representative at the Eurovision Song Contest for a second year in a row. This year the show will be used to select the singer that will represent Georgia in Rotterdam, while the song will be chosen internally by GPB.
Georgian Idol’s judging panel is formed of Natia Todua, Tinatin Berdzenishvili, David Evgenidze and David Aladashvili.
Oto Nemsadze was selected to represent Georgia in Tel Aviv with the song “Sul tsin iare” after winning Georgian Idol. He finished 14th in the first semi-final with 62 points.
Georgia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007, they were represented by Sopho Khalvashi and the song “Visionary Dream”. Sopho finished 12th in the final scoring 97 points, the song received 12 points from the televoters in Lithuania. Georgia has only ever missed one contest since their debut, this was in 2009 when they had selected Stephane & 3G with “We Don’t Wanna Put In”. The EBU asked for Georgia to rewrite the lyrics of the song or change the song completely.
