Portugal has seen viewing interest in the Junior Eurovision Song a contest continue to grow since there 2017 return.
A total of 350,000 viewers followed the Junior Eurovision Song Contest live on RTP1. The figures represent the largest audience that Portugal has recorded at the competition, up 73,000 viewers over the 2018 contest.
The competition was the ninth most watched shown on RTP1 and had a share of 9.5% in the time slot. Yesterday’s contest saw Portugal record there first finish outside of the bottom three at the competition, with Joana finishing 16th place in Gliwice.
Viewing figures for Junior Eurovision in Portugal:
- 2017 – 210,000 viewers
- 2018 – 277,000 viewers
- 2019 – 350,000 viewers
