DR has confirmed to Eurovoix, that they will not be participating in Eurovision Young Musicians 2020 in Zagreb, Croatia.
DR Kultur, has confirmed to Eurovoix, that the broadcaster will not be participating in the 2020 edition of Eurovision Young Musicians in Croatia. DR had considered participating in the event following its successful participation in Eurovision Choir, but will not be returning to the event after a 16 year absence.
Denmark last competed in Eurovision Young Musicians in 2004, alongside 18 other countries when the contest was held in Lucerne, Switzerland. Denmark made their debut in the competition at the first edition of the contest in 1982, when they jointly participated in the contest with Finland, Norway and Sweden.
Eurovision Young Musicians 2020
The 20th installment of Eurovision Young Musicians will take place next year in the Croatian capital Zagreb. The competition is set to take place on an open-air stage in King Tomislav Square with the grand final on the June 21 2020. This will be the first Eurovision event to be held in an independent Croatia. The Eurovision Song Contest was held in Zagreb in 1990, when Croatia was part of Yugoslavia.
