The Polish national broadcaster TVP, has announced its broadcast plans for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019.
The host broadcaster of Junior Eurovision 2019, TVP, has announced its broadcast plans for this years contest. TVP will be airing the contest across three channels, giving the contest is largest audience in Poland to date. The contest will be broadcast live on:
- TVP Polonia
- TVP ABC
Junior Eurovision is being broadcast on TVP1 for the first time since the 2004 contest in Lillehammar, Norway. The contest had been up until 2018 broadcast live on TVP2. TVP ABC the Polish children’s channel will air the contest, while TVP Polonia brings Polish coverage to an international audience.
Who is Viki Gabor?
Wiktoria (Viki) Gabor is 12 years old and was born in Germany, making her the first singer born in the country to take part in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. She was a finalist in the second series of the Voice Kids, and won the Polish selection process with the song “Superhero”.
Poland was one of sixteen countries to participate in the first edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003. After two last place finishes, they withdrew from the contest and did not return until 2016. Roksana Węgiel brought Poland their first victory in the contest in 2018 with “Anyone I Want To Be”.
