The revamped version of the Welsh entry for Junior Eurovision 2019, “Calon yn Curo” has been released.
The final version of Wales’ entry for this years Junior Eurovision Song Contest, has been released alongside its official video. Since being crowned the winner of the Welsh selection, changes to Erin’s interpretation of “Calon yn Curo” have taken place, with additions to the songs instrumentation.
“Calon yn Curo”, which translates to “Heart Beating”, is composed by Sylvia Strand, Ed Holden, and John Gregory (who represented Cyprus at the 2010 Eurovision Song Contest). The song was internally selected by S4C to represent Wales in Poland.
Erin who is 13 years old won the Welsh selection process, having been one of three acts to make it through to the Super Final of Chwilio am Seren.
Wales made their debut in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest last year in Belarus. Wales was represented by Manw and the song “Perta” on stage in Minsk, Belarus. They finished 20th in the final, scoring all of their 28 points from the online vote. Wales scored 0 points from the juries in each of the competing countries, alongside Portugal.
