The music video for Tayana Mezhentseva and Denberel Oorzhak’s “A Time For Us” has been released.
The official music video for Russia’s Junior Eurovision entry has been released today, featuring both Tatyana and Denberel. Australia, Georgia, Serbia, Spain, and Ukraine also recently released their music videos and entries for the contest, with host country Poland currently in the process of filming their music video.
Who are Tatyana Mezhentseva and Denberel Oorzhak?
Ten year old Tatyana Mezhentseva is from Moscow, and began singing at just 4 years old. Her other hobbies include dance and gymnastics, as well as playing the piano and the flute. Denberel Oorzhak was born in the Republic of Tuva in 2006, and is most well-known for winning the show “You are Super!”, as well as Children’s New Wave. The pair met during the New Wave contest, and went on to enter the Russian Junior Eurovision selection show, where they came out victorious with their song “A Time For Us”.
Russia debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2005 and has participated in the contest every year since. Russia won the contest for the first time in 2006 when they were represented by the Tolmachevy Twins with the song “Vesenniy jazz”, who scored a total of 154 points. Russia has never finished outside of the top 10 in their time at the contest, and have finished second twice, fourth four times and fifth once. At the 2017 contest in Georgia, Russia won the contest for a second time represented by Polina Bogusevich and “Wings”.
