Filming has begun today for Szansa na Sukces, the Polish selection process for Junior Eurovision 2019.
The search has begun for Poland’s representative at Junior Eurovision 2019, with filming for Szansa na Sukces commencing today in Warsaw. The first episode which was today appears to have featured at least seven singers, who were competing for two places in the final at the end of September
The contest will be formed of three pre-recorded casting rounds and then a final. The three casting shows will select two singers each show to progress to the final.
In the final of Szansa na Sukces, each of the six finalists will perform two songs. They will perform a song by a cult Polish singer, and then an original song for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in November. The winner of the final will go on to represent Poland on home soil at Junior Eurovision 2019.
Szansa na sukces returned to Polish TV screens this year, being used to select a singer to participate in Opole 2019. The show had previously been aired on TVP2 between 1993 and 2012.
Poland dropped using a televised selection process for Junior Eurovision last year. Instead TVP opted to internally select both their singer and song for the competition, with TVP selecting Roksana Węgiel, who went on to win the contest with “Anyone I Want to Be
