MRT has confirmed to Eurovoix that North Macedonia will be competing in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Poland.
North Macedonia will be participating in this years Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Poland. This is the 15th time that North Macedonia has competed in the contest, making the nation one of the longest participating nations. MRT has yet to confirm how it will select their singer and song for Poland.
In 2018 North Macedonia was represented by Marija Spasovska and her song โDomaโ. They finished 12th in the final with a total of 99 points. The nation was 9th with the juries on 64 points, but finished 16th in the online vote with 35 points.
The 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held onย Sunday 24th Novemberย in Gliwice, Poland. To date, eleven countries have expressed their interest in participating in the contest:
- Albania
- Australia
- France
- Georgia
- Ireland
- Kazakhstan
- Netherlands
- Poland
- Portugal
- Russia
- Wales
Although they have not yet confirmed, it is expected that these countries will confirm this year due to their attendance at the Reference Group meeting:
- Armenia
- Belarus
- Italy
- Malta
The following nations have confirmed that they will not be participating in Poland:
- Moldova
- Montenegro

North Macedonia was one of sixteen countries to take part in the first edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003. On their debut they were represented by Marija & Viktorija with the song โTi ne me poznavaลกโ finishing 12th with 19 points. Macedoniaโs best result to date is 5th place, which they achieved in 2007 with โDing Ding Dongโ by Rosica & Dimitar and in 2008 with โPrati mi SMSโ by Bobi Andonov.
