Israeli press reports that the Israeli broadcaster KAN, has offered free tickets to Israeli’s living within 40km of Gaza.
Globes and the Jerusalem Post report that KAN will be giving free tickets to residents of Southern Israel to the Semi-Finals and jury shows. Residents who live within 40km of the border with Gaza are to receive tickets as a “sign of support and appreciation” from the Isralei broadcaster, following conflict last week.
Tickets will be distributed to local authorities within 40km of the border, who will then give tickets to residents. Local authorities will then need to organise transportation to the live shows.
Todays announcements comes on the back of a wave of changes to the tickets for Eurovision 2019. Last night it was revealed that the Golden Circle has seen its size reduced for security reasons. While ticket sales for the Green Room in the Semi-Finals have been suspended.
Thousands of tickets for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 remain unsold for both the live shows and the jury shows. The Grand Final is the only show where tickets have sold out. For the semi-finals as of one week ago over 2,000 tickets remained availble for purchase.
