DR has revealed that Rasmussen will announce the results of the Danish jury at the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019.
Rasmussen who represented Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018, has been revealed as the Danish spokesperson for Tel Aviv. Rasmussen who performed “Higher Ground” in Lisbon, will be revealing the results of the Danish jury at the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019.
Rasmussen is one of a number of former Eurovision participants revealed as spokesperson for 2019:
- Romania – Ilinca (2017)
- Slovenia – Lea Sirk (2018)
- Switzerland – Sinplus (2012)
Who is Leonora?
20-year-old Leonora will be representing Denmark at the Eurovision Song Contest. Leonora is a person with many talents, she is a triple Danish Championship title holder in figure skating, and she has participated in both the Junior World Championship and Nordic Championship.
Outside the world of sport, she decided at the age of 15 to focus on music instead, playing guitar and writing her own songs. She was then approached by Lise Cabble to perform “Love is Forever” and won the Danish selection.
Denmark debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957 alongside Austria and the United Kingdom. To date Denmark has won the contest on three occasions, the first being in 1963 when Grethe & Jorgen Ingmann performed “Dansevise”. Denmark won the contest again in 2000 represented by the Olsen Brothers, their most recent victory came in 2013 when Emmelie de Forest performed “Only Teardrops”. Denmark failed to qualify for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015 and 2016.
