Nodiko Tatishvili who represented Georgia at Eurovision 2013, has been announced as the third commentator for GPB at Eurovision 2019.
Nodiko Tatishvilli has been announced by GPB as the third commentator who will be guiding Georgian viewers through the Grand Final of Eurovision 2019. Nodiko will be known to fans for representing Georgia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 with Sopho Gelovani, they finished 15th with the song “Waterfall”.
The singer will be taking over from Gaga Abashidze who will co-commentate through all the shows with Helen Kalandadze. Gaga is this years Georgian spokesperson, meaning as soon as the jury results are announced Nodiko will take over commentary with Helen.
Who is Oto Nemsadze?
Oto Nemsadze will represent Georgia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv. Oto who was born in Gori is no stranger to competiting in televised contests.
He first came to public attention in 2010 after winning the 5th season of Geostar. In 2013 he went on to finish 2nd in The Voice of Ukraine. In 2017 he attempted to represent Georgia at Eurovision as part of the group Limbo.
Georgia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007, they were represented by Sopho Khalvashi and the song “Visionary Dream”. Sopho finished 12th in the final scoring 97 points, the song received 12 points from the televoters in Lithuania. Georgia has only ever missed one contest since their debut, this was in 2009 when they had selected Stephane & 3G with “We Don’t Wanna Put In”. The EBU asked for Georgia to rewrite the lyrics of the song or change the song completely.
