HRT has revealed that ENDI will be joining Roko on stage in Tel Aviv for the Croatian performance at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019.
Singer and dancer ENDI will be performing on stage in Israel as part of the Croatian entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. ENDI rose to fame in Croatia having finishing fourth in Supertalent, and has since been dubbed the Croatian Justin Beiber. ENDI previously worked with Jacques Houdek in 2017 when he stared in the music video for the remix of “My Friend”.
Roko’s stage performance in the contest will be choreographed by Leo Mujić who is currently working with Jacques Houdek on Jesus Christ Superstar. The choreographer has promised “some surprises” in the performance. Roko has previously said that the angel wings which he wore during Dora 2019, the Croatian selection for Eurovision, are likely to come with him to Tel Aviv.
Who is Roko?
Roko was born in Split in 2001 and has been performing since 2017. He rose to fame after winning Pinkove Zvezdice in Serbia in July 2017. In 2018 he then went on to finish second in the Croatian show “Zvijezde”.
He has since been mentored by Jacques Houdek who represented Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2017. Roko will perform “The Dream” in Tel Aviv, the song was written by Jacques Houdek, Andrea Ćurić and Charlie Mason.
Croatia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993, they were one of three countries to debut in the contest that year. Croatia’s best result came in 1999 when Doris Dragovic finished 4th in Jerusalem. She performed the song “Marija Magdalena” which scored a total of 118 points, this included 12 points from Slovenia and Spain. Croatia returned to the contest in 2016 having withdrawn after the 2013 contest due to a string of poor results and financial difficulties.
