Georgian Eurovision entrant Oto Nemsadze is currently filming the music video for “Sul Tsin Iare”.
Having filmed his Eurovision postcard last week, Oto has begun filming the music video for his Eurovision entry. The video will feature members of the folk ensemble Shavabada, as well as over 50 “specially selected personalities”. Directing the video is Giorgi Ebralidze.
The music video is set to be released in early April.
The names of the five backing singers joining Oto on stage has also been revealed, all of which are members of Shavabada. They are:
- Giorgi Kananadze
- Giga Chigogidze
- Dato Tsintsadze
- Spartak Sharikadze
- Mikheil Javakhishvili
Mikheil is no stranger to the contest as he represented Georgia as part of Iriao in 2018.
Who is Oto Nemsadze?
Oto Nemsadze will represent Georgia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv. Oto who was born in Gori is no stranger to competiting in televised contests.
He first came to public attention in 2010 after winning the 5th season of Geostar. In 2013 he went on to finish 2nd in The Voice of Ukraine. In 2017 he attempted to represent Georgia at Eurovision as part of the group Limbo.
Georgia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2007, they were represented by Sopho Khalvashi and the song “Visionary Dream”. Sopho finished 12th in the final scoring 97 points, the song received 12 points from the televoters in Lithuania. Georgia has only ever missed one contest since their debut, this was in 2009 when Georgia had selected Stephane & 3G with “We Don’t Wanna Put In”. The EBU asked for Georgia to rewrite the lyrics of the song or change the song completely.
