GPB has confirmed that the second series of Ranina will be returning to Georgian screens on March 24.
The second series of Ranina which will select the Georgian entrant for Junior Eurovision 2019 will begin on March 24. The show will be broadcast weekly on the First Channel of GPB, culminating in a final of three singers later this Spring.
The ten competing singers are:

- Anastasia Garsenavishvili
- Giorgi Gordadze
- Levan Elosidze
- Elene Ivanidze
- Barbara Imnadze
- Nika Petriashvili
- Giorgi Rotiashvili
- Tekla Chaganava
The winner of Ranina will represent Georgia at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019. The act who finishes in second place will be the Georgian spokesperson in Poland, while third place will also travel to Poland to watch Junior Eurovision.
Tamar Edilashvili represented Georgia in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 with “Your Voice”. She finished in eighth place with 144 points; 39 points from the jury and 105 points from the online vote.

Georgia has won the contest on three occasions, making them the country with the most victories throughout the history of the contest. Georgia debuted in JESC in 2007 with Mariam Romelashvili and her song “Odelia Ranuni”, where she placed 4th with 116 points. Their first win was just a year later in 2008, with the trio Bzikebi and their song “Bzz”. Their second win was in 2011 with the group Candy and their song “Candy Music”. Most recently in 2016, eleven-year-old Mariam Mamadashvili performed her song Mzeo in JESC 2016 host city Malta, and took the victory with 239 points.
