Anna Odobescu has revealed to the Moldovan press that Sunstroke Project will be working with her on her performance for Eurovision 2019.
This years Moldovan entrant for Eurovision 2019 has spoken about her experience so far, from winning O Melodie Pentru Europa to looking forward to Tel Aviv. The singer revealed that the past week had been busy, as only on March 5/6 did they find out the final version of the song and music video had to be completed by March 10.
We were in a situation where the video was filmed and edited in 24 hours. We admit that we could have created a less banal video, but based on the time we had, I think we’ve managed to do something
Anna’s husband Alexandru Vdovicenco, has already begun working on her performance in Tel Aviv. He explained:
We have a team of real professionals. As for the show, there is still nothing fixed. A country in the former USSR wants to help us in this “adventure”, but it depends very much on whether we can find funding to support all the expenses. The guys from Sunstroke Project will join us in Israel, they will support us.
Last year Moldova’s participation in the Eurovision Song Contest was heavily supported by Philip Kirkorov who acted as a mentor for DoReDos. The Russian singer and team supported the costs of the groups staging and promotion across Europe.
The entire staging of “Stay” is also set to change for Eurovision including the outfit and choreography. The main issue that Anna and her team are currently having is securing funding for Eurovision. Teleradio-Moldova only covers the cost of the participation fee, with the competing singer liable for all other costs. TRM will only start covering costs dependent on the result of that years participant in the contest. Anna added:
We are sure that we will be supported. Because the responsibility is both for us and for the whole country. So far, I have not received any financing proposal. We’ll be on the budget this week. Israel is an expensive country, even when there is nothing going on. We only know that Teleradio-Moldova has already paid the participation fee in the contest
