The 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Gliwice-Silesia at the Arena Gliwice.
The EBU has announced that the city of Gliwice in upper Silesia, Poland, will be hosting this year’s Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The Arena Gliwice is a large arena that has hosted many concerts, sports competitions and family shows in the past.
Gliwice was chosen by TVP after they had considered many different options across the country. Junior Eurovision comes to Poland this year following Roksana Wegiel’s victory at the 2018 contest with her song “Anyone I Want To Be”.
The EBU’s Head of Live Events, Jon Ola Sand, has said:
“We are delighted to announce that Gliwice-Silesia, will be the Host City of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019. The show in Minsk was a spectacular event and we are in no doubt that TVP will put on an equally brilliant show; riding high on their win last year. As well as producing an unbeatable bid, it is extra special to have last year’s winning country host the event, and we believe that the TVP team will invest the same passion, dedication and fun into planning the event for this November”.
The 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest will be held on Sunday 24th November. To date, seven countries have expressed their interest in participating in the contest:
