RTP has announced the running order for the final of Festival da Canção, with Calema set to open the show this Saturday.
The final of Portugal’s Eurovision selection show Festival da Canção 2019 will take place this Saturday in Lisbon. Ahead of the show, the order in which the eight artists will perform has been revealed.
The running order is as follows:
- Calema – A Dois
- Mariana Bragada – Mar Doce
- Matay – Perfeito
- Surma – Pugna
- NBC – Igual A Ti
- Madrepaz – Mundo a Mudar
- Conan Osíris – Telemóveis
- Ana Cláudia – Inercia
Voting lines have now also opened, and the public can vote from now up until the show. The winner will be decided by a mix of the public vote and the jury vote, and will go on to represent Portugal in the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv.

Portugal debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1964 represented by Antonio Calvario, the country finished last scoring nul points. Prior to 2016, the best result of Portugal was 6th place which came in 1996 when Lucia Moniz performed in Oslo. She scored 92 points, receiving the 12 points from both Norway and Cyprus. Since their debut, Portugal have missed a total of five contests. In 2017, Portugal produced a spectacular win when Salvador Sobral took home the crystal microphone with his song “Amar Pelos Dois.” The 2018 contest was held in Lisbon, Portugal for the first time.
