Mahmood has confirmed that “Soldi” will undergo changes to both the song and its performance for Eurovision.
Speaking to Radio Italia, Mahmood has confirmed that both his song and performance of “Soldi” at Eurovision will evolve from that of Sanremo. He explained that he is working on a new version of the song that includes new elements. The new version of “Soldi” will feature;
Some new element because I do not want to do something already done, it’s also boring for me.
He added the staging of his performance will also change for the Eurovision stage, but that he cannot reveal any details yet. The singer is looking forward to the challenges that Eurovision will present and the experience he will gain from it.
What is “Soldi” About?
According to Mahmood, “Soldi” is a personal outburst, built on the relationship that the singer had with his father. The singer was born in Milan to a mother from Sardinia and a father from Egypt, however his father was absent from his life after the age of 6.
