The Slovenian national broadcaster has revealed the full results of EMA 2019, following the selection of Zala Kralj and Gašper Šantl.
RTVSLO has released the placings of the ten competing entries in EMA 2019. The results of the first round were as follows:
- 1/2 – Raiven
- 1/2 – Zala Kralj and Gašper Šantl
- 3/4 – Fed Horses
- 3/4 – Ula Lozar
- 5 – Okusticni
- 6 – Lumberjack
- 7 – Inmate
- 8 – Kim
- 9 – Renata Mohoric
- 10 – Rene
The results of the Super Final were:
- Zala Kralj and Gašper Šantl – Sebi – 4666 votes – 72.89%
- Raiven – Kaos – 1735 votes – 27.11%
RTVSLO also revealed that a total of 223,900 viewers watched the final of EMA 2019 on Saturday night. The show was watched by 28% of the television audience at the time of the broadcast, representing a market share of 11%. The final of EMA 2019 was the most watched show broadcast during its time slot.
Who Are Zala Kralj and Gasper Santl?
Zala Kralj and Gašper Šantl have been performing together since 2017. Before performing together they had both tried to be solo artists, and met after a Zala began providing the vocals for some of Gašper’s songs.
They released their first EP Štiri on the day of EMA 2019. In 2018 they released a total of three singles before they decided to apply to EMA. They will perform “Sebi” in Tel Aviv, the song was written by Zala Kralj and Gašper Šantl.

Slovenia was one of three countries to join the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993. The country qualified through a specially organised selection round called “Kvalifikacija za Millstreet” which was hosted in Slovenia, seven countries competed for three spots in Eurovision 1993. The country has participated in 22 editions of the Eurovision Song Contest. Their best result came in 1995 when Darja Švajger finished 7th scoring a total of 84 points, she is closely followed by Nuša Derenda who finished 7th in the 2001 contest with 70 points.
