RTVSLO has this evening revealed snippets of the ten songs vying to represent Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv.
RTVSLO has released 30 second snippets of the songs competing to represent Slovenia at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019. You can listen to the snippets of the songs on the Slovenian broadcasters website here. The songs will be released in full via Val 202 over the course of the next couple of weeks.
The show will take place in two stages, an expert jury will be used in the first round to determine which 2 of the 10 entries will advance to the Super Final. Of the 2 entries chosen to be competing in the Super Final, the eventual winner will be selected solely by a public vote. The jury will not have any influence in the Super Final unless there is a technical difficulty in the public voting system.

Lea Sirk represented Slovenia in Lisbon in 2018 with “Hvala, ne!” She was the first Slovene representative to qualify for the final since 2015. She finished 22nd with 64 points.
Slovenia was one of three countries to join the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993. The country qualified through a specially organised selection round called “Kvalifikacija za Millstreet” which was hosted in Slovenia, seven countries competed for three spots in Eurovision 1993. The country has participated in 22 editions of the Eurovision Song Contest. Their best result came in 1995 when Darja Švajger finished 7th scoring a total of 84 points, she is closely followed by Nuša Derenda who finished 7th in the 2001 contest with 70 points.
