The Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2019 hopefuls are set to be revealed on the 31st of January during an official press conference.
The press conference will be held by Kristian Gintberg and Johannes Nymark (who are the hosts of DMGP) at 13:00 CET. The press conference will reveal the 10 participants in Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2019 which is taking place on the 23rd of February at the Boxen Arena, Denmark.
During the press conference, the hopefuls will each be presented personally and each of the artist’s singles will be made available online digitally on the next day. A number of songwriters and singers have been rumored or revealed so far. Potential singers include Jasmin Gabay and Julie Berthelsen, while Ryk (German NF 2018) is taking part as a songwriter.

Denmark debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1957 alongside Austria and the United Kingdom. To date Denmark has won the contest on three occasions, the first being in 1963 when Grethe & Jorgen Ingmann performed “Dansevise”. Denmark won the contest again in 2000 represented by the Olsen Brothers, their most recent victory came in 2013 when Emmelie de Forest performed “Only Teardrops”. Denmark failed to qualify for the final of the Eurovision Song Contest in 2015 and 2016.
