France will participate in the 2019 Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Poland.
French broadcaster France 2 has confirmed that they will take part in the 2019 edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. The country returned to the contest this year after a 14 year break, and were represented by Angélina and her song “Jamais Sans Toi”. The country finished 2nd overall with 203 points.

This follows the news that a total of 1.16 million viewers watched the 2018 contest in France. Madame Monsieur who represented France at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018, joined Stéphane Bern as commentators as France returns to the Junior Eurovision Song Contest. France previously only participated in the contest once in 2004 when Thomas Pontier finished 6th in Lillehammar.
So far, seven countries have expressed their interest in participating in the contest next year. These are:

Twenty countries took part in the contest this year, including Kazakhstan and Wales, both of which made their debut. Israel, Azerabaijan and France all returned to the contest this year after a break.
