Erez Tal and Bar Refaeli are expected to host the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel subject to approval from the EBU.
Ynet reports that Erez Tal and Bar Refaeli are to be the two main presenters of the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel. The two presenters have according to reports been selected as the main hosts for the competition in Israel’s largest city.
Erez Tal is an actor and television presenter, he provided the Israeli commentary for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018, being the first commentator for Israel at the contest since the mid-1980s. Bar Refaeli is a supermodel, actress and presenter. She has taken part in a number of Israeli and international TV series, including launching her own show on German television in 2012.
Joining Erez and Bar are set to be joined by Lucy Ayuob and possibly Assi Azar as the Green room hosts. Lucy Ayuob will be known to viewers of the competition as the Israeli spokesperson at this years contest, she currently works for KAN as a presenter. Assi Azar is a well known television presenter and currently fronts the Israeli selection process for Eurovision.
Should no changes need to made to the line up reported today, the presenters are expected to be revealed in January 2019. Traditionally the hosts are announced ahead of the semi-final allocation draw and the formal hand over of the host city insignia.
Tel Aviv will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in the Expo Tel Aviv (International Convention Centre) on May 14, 16 and 18 2019. Tickets for the contest will be available by the end of the year. While Tel Aviv has never hosted the Eurovision Song Contest, the “Israel Calling” Party has been held in the city since 2016. Acts from 25 participating countries took part in this year’s event.
