UA:PBC has confirmed to OGAE Ukraine that they did not submit a bid to host the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2019.

In 2017 the European Broadcasting Union opted to return to the system used between 2004 and 2010, whereby interested broadcasters were invited to submit bids to host the competition. The decision was taken to ensure that host broadcasters had enough time to properly prepare for the competition.
Ukraine previously hosted the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in Kyiv in both 2009 and 2013. Ukraine bid to host the 2009 contest alongside Serbia, Belarus and Ukraine, Sweden also submitted a bid but withdrew before the deadline for the contest. Ukraine went on to host for a second time in 2013 following the victory of Anastasiya Petryk in 2012.
