Roksana Wegiel has given her first live performance of “Anyone I Want to Be”, as the singer becomes one of the favourites to win in Minsk.
Roksana Wegiel has performed “Anyone I Want to Be” live for the first time over the course of the past weekend. The singer took to the stage at studio Las as part of a fashion show for Roksana’s new clothing line. the performance saw Roksana perform elements of her choreograph for Minsk.
Dziennik Eurowizyjny has also revealed that Roksana will be joined by three dancers and two backing singers on stage in Minsk. The dancers as previously reported are from Universe dance school.
Who is Roksana Wegiel?
Thirteen-year-old Roksana Węgiel was born on 11th January 2005 in Jasło, Poland. The young singer rose to fame after winning the first season of The Voice Kids Poland earlier this year, and has since released two singles, titled “Zyj” and “I Promise”. Alongside singing, her favourite hobbies include acrobatics, ballroom dancing, hip-hop and judo.
Roksana is known for winning the first series of The Voice Kids in Poland, and has said this about her achievements:
“Winning The Voice Kids was an honour and a dream come true, but representing my country at Junior Eurovision is an actual honour. Dreaming and fighting for your dreams is worthy. Thanks for believing in me!”

Poland participated the inaugural edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003. After two consecutive last-place finishes, they withdrew from the contest in 2005. After an absence of 13 years, Poland returned to the contest in 2016. Olivia Wieczorek finished 11th in Malta with “Nie zapomnij”. 2.2 million people in Poland watched the 2016 contest, making up the majority of the total 3.9 million viewing figure.
