Maariv reports that Russian-Israeli actress Ania Bukstein has been approached by KAN to host Eurovision 2019.
Ania Bukstein has been approached by KAN regarding hosting the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Tel Aviv, Israel. The actress who was born in Moscow, Russia but has lived in Israel since the age of 8, is one of a number of personalities who have been approached to take part in auditions for the role of host for Eurovision 2019.
According to Maariv Ania Bukstein has been invited by KAN to take part in auditions in the next week, to determine who will host Eurovision 2019. Ania is known to international audiences for the role of Kinvara in Game of Thrones. Israeli audiences will recognise Ania from her multiple television and film roles.
Tel Aviv will host the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in the Expo Tel Aviv (International Convention Centre) on May 14, 16 and 18 2019. fter receiving bids from several cities across Israel, the final two remaining candidate cities were Tel Aviv and Jerusalem. KAN recommended Tel Aviv to the Reference Group.
Tickets for the contest will be available by the end of the year. While Tel Aviv has never hosted the Eurovision Song Contest, the “Israel Calling” Party has been held in the city since 2016. Acts from 25 participating countries took part in this year’s event.
