Who is LEVON?
Armenian-Russian artist LEVON (Levon Galstyan) was born on 20th May 2006 in Yerevan, Armenia. Levon is no stranger to singing competitions, as in 2016 he participated in The Voice Kids Russia, where he was coached by Valeriy Meladze. Since then, he has taken part in local and international competitions, including New Wave in Russia as part of The Voices of Artsakh.
In September, he participated inย Depi Mankakan Evratesilย along with nine other young artists. In the end, a jury panel and the public crowned Levon the winner, and he will represent his country in Minsk with his song โL.E.V.O.Nโ.
Armenia debuted in the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2007, and have had 10 entries to date. The country is one of the most successful in the history of the contest, placing in the top 3 on 7 occasions, and winning once in 2010. Their victory came from Vladimir Arzumanyan with his song โMamaโ, which received 120 points. Armenia then went on to host the contest on home soil in Yerevan in 2011. Their debut was almost as successful, as Arevik and her song โErazanqโ was just 1 point off the winning score. Their worst result comes from their 2008 entry โIm Ergi Hnchyuneโ, sung by Monica Manucharova, which placed 8th overall with 59 points. Armenia has been present at every contest since their debut.
I can’t wait to see it! ๐
