ERR, the Estonian national broadcaster, is currently in the midst of discussions regarding participation in Eurovision Choir of the Year 2019.
Estonia’s national broadcaster ERR is discussing whether they will be participating in the next edition of Eurovision Choir of the Year. The broadcaster has until the end of this month to express their interest in taking part in the 2019 contest, with confirmation of participation required by the end of October.
The nation was the first country to ever take to the Eurovision Choir of the Year stage, having opened the inaugural edition of the contest in Riga, Latvia. Estonia was represented by the Estonian TV Girls’ Choir, they did not place within the top three.
To date the only nations to have confirmed their participation are;
- Belgium – RTBF
- Romania – TVR
- Wales – S4C
The national broadcasters of Estonia and Denmark are both currently discussing whether they will be taking part in the competition.
The contest which is to be held in Gothenburg, Sweden in August 2019, currently does not have a host broadcaster. The competition is being produced in partnership with Interkultur and the European Choir Games.
