SVT, the Swedish national broadcaster, has announced the guest artists that will perform at the final of P4 Nästa 2018 on August 25 in Linköping.
Stiko Per Larsson, Anna Bergendahl and Benjamin Ingrosso will all perform at the event. Anna Bergendahl, who represented Sweden in 2010 said that it is “an honour to perform at the final of P4 Nästa. I participated in the competition twice, so I know what the experience is like.” Benjamin Ingrosso, the most recent Swedish Eurovision representative, also shared his excitement about performing songs from his upcoming album before he embarks on a tour in autumn.
Stiko Per Larsson, last year’s P4 Nästa winner, spoke of his memories from last year:
“I really look forward to performing at this year’s P4 Nästa. Last year’s finale is still in my memory as one of the finest evenings in my musical journey. To compete in music is special but P4 Nästa is a competition that feels genuine and honest. For me, P4 Nästa was neither a starting nor an ending point but a very nice step along the way. It gave my music the opportunity to reach an audience I have not reached before. It has meant a lot to me this year and will continue to do so in the future.
Format of P4 Nästa
The P4 Nästa competition lasts between March and August. The aim of the shows are to find new and upcoming artists, to kickstart their careers in the world of music. 25 districts across Sweden hold heats to select their winner, who they then send to the next round.
