Four past Eurovision participants are among the eighteen singers to be taking part in Golden Stag 2018 next month in Romania.
TVR has revealed the name of the eighteen singers from across Europe who will be participating in a special 50th anniversary edition of the Golden Stag International Festival in Brasov, Romania. Among the singers are four artists who have represented their nations at the Eurovision Song Contest.
- John Karayiannis – Cyprus 2015
- Lidia Isac – Moldova 2016
- Ovidiu Anton – Romania 2016
- Ryan O’Shaughnessy – Ireland 2018
A further six of the participants have attempted to represent their nations at the Eurovision Song Contest. This includes Karl William Lund (United Kingdom 2015), Sebastian Schmidt (San Marino 2018) and Inis Neziri (Albania 2018).

The 18 artists were selected by a jury formed of;
- Daniel Jinga – Conductor and composer
- Liana Stanciu Georgescu – Radio and TV specialist journalis

- Andrei Tudor – Composer
- Andreea Archip – Journalist
- Gabriel Scîrlet – TVR Director
- Smaranda Vornicu Shalit – Director of the Festival
The Golden Stag Festival will begin on August 29 with the winner to be determined on September 1. In total 110 artists applied to take part in the festival which will be aired by TVR 1 and TVR Moldova.
