Following a day of auditions in Minsk, the singers vying to represent Belarus at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2018 have been revealed.
A total of sixty two singers were invited to the Belarusian Capital today to perform during a round of live auditions. The auditions saw a variety of genres and styles performed, with both soloists and groups taking to the stage. The selection also featured a mix of both new singers and singers who have previously competed in the national selection.
The finalists are;

- Yelizaveta Meya – Zorka
- Mariya Gulevich – Ostrov Chikarum
- Daniel Aleks Yastremskiy – Time
- Angelina Yaroshchuk – Feeling Good
- Myata – Odnazhdy
- Nikita Belko – Ne preday
- Mariya Zhilina – Welcome To My Belarus
- Yaroslav Sokolikov – Mir na zemle
- Monkey Tops – Na stile
A national final will take place no later than September 15. The winner will be decided by 50% public voting and 50% jury vote. In the event of a tie the jury will vote again on the songs that are tied. In the event of a further tie the Chairman of the jury decides who will represent Belarus at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest.
Last year, Helena Maraai represented Belarus in Tbilisi with “I Am the One”. She finished 5th with 149 points.
Belarus debuted at the first edition of the Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2003, and have been present at every contest since. To date, Belarus have won the contest twice – first in 2005 with Ksenia Sitnik and her song “My Vmeste”, which received 149 points, and the second time in 2007 with Alexey Zhigalkovich and his song “S Druz’yami”, which received a total of 137 points. Their worst entry came from Egor Volchek and his song “Spjavajtse So Mnoj” in 2004, which received only 9 points. Belarus have placed in the top 3 a total of 5 times to date.
