KAN, the Israeli national broadcaster, has revealed two of the key members of its team for hosting the Eurovision Song Contest 2019.
Zivit Davidovitch and Yuval Cohen have been revealed as joining the key team that will organise the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in Israel. KAN has today revealed the names of the Executive Producer and Editor in Chief & Lead Director for next years contest. Mrs Zivit Davidovitch will be the Executive Producer, while Yuval Cohen is the Editor in Chief and Lead Director.
Zivit Davidovitch is currently Vice President of Content and Production at Channel Ten in Israel, and is set to join the Israeli national broadcaster in August. Mrs Davidovitch has a vast array of experience across a variety of genres and production of events such as the World Cup and Miss Israel. In addition she has worked on a number of reality television shows broadcaster by Channel Ten including Survivor and the Geek and the Bachelor.
While Mr Yuval Cohen has been the Head of Programmes and Development in recent years at Channel Ten. Mr Cohen has been involved in a number of musical television productions including the Israeli version of the Voice, as well as Dancing with the Stars. Yuval was also involved in the Israeli Eurovision selection in 2010 when Harel Skaat was internally selected to represent his nation in Oslo.
Last week, the European Broadcasting Union confirmed that “a handover from RTP (Portugal’s EBU member) took place and a timetable of key milestones was agreed.” Furthermore, planning for next years event has already begun with the host city and the dates for Eurovision 2019 due to be announced “by September.”
