A remix of Icelandic Eurovision 2018 song “Our Choice” has been released.
Icelandic Eurovision entrant Ari Ólafsson has released a remix of his song “Our Choice”. Yesterday the remix was posted on his official Facebook page with the caption “You’ve gotta dance like there’s nobody watching”.
Ari recently had his second rehearsal yesterday, which featured his backing singers and the same outfit as his seen in his first rehearsal. The end of the performance saw the backing singers embrace Ari, which is a change from the first run through.
Nineteen-year-old Ari Ólafsson will represent Iceland at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon, Portugal. He was selected to represent his country after he won Songvakeppnin with his song “Our Choice”.
Ari will participate in 2nd position in the first semi-final on Tuesday 8th May.

Iceland debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1986 and, aside from 2 years of relegation in 1998 and 2002, has participated every year since. The contest is incredibly popular in Iceland, regularly being one of the most watched programmes of the year. Iceland has yet to win the contest but has finished in 2nd on two occasions. In 1999, Selma missed out on victory in Jerusalem by 17 points, and in 2009 Yohanna became the most successful Icelandic entrant ever finishing 2nd in the final with the song “Is it True?”. She scored 218 points, yet still finished 169 points behind the runaway winner Norway.
