Technical rehearsals have begun in Lisbon with less than a week to go until the artists take to the stage for their first rehearsals for Eurovision 2018.
The technical rehearsals for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 have started in Lisbon. The technical rehearsals allow the delegations to see what their performances will look like on stage before they arrive in Lisbon for the physical rehearsals over the course of the next two weeks.
The process enables the delegations to see how their performance will appear on screen before they arrive in the city. They will try out numerous camera angles during the performances and the rehearsal allows for changes to be made before the singers and delegations arrive in Lisbon.

The official slogan for this year’s contest is “All Aboard!”, and was chosen to represent a celebration of Europe and music. The slogan was inspired by Lisbon’s longstanding history as an important global seaport and the importance of the ocean in Portugal’s history. The ocean has connected Portugal to the rest of the world for centuries, and this connectivity is intended to invite people from across the world to come together to celebrate music and Eurovision.
