Sven Epiney has been confirmed as the commentator for SRF at the Eurovision Song Contest 2018, marking his 11th Eurovision Song Contest.
Television presenter and personality Sven Epiney has been confirmed by SRF as the broadcasters commentator for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 in Lisbon, Portugal. Sven has been the commentator for SRF since 2008, having taken over from Bernard Thurnheer who provided commentary in 2007.
Sven Epiney has become the face and voice of the Eurovision Song Contest in Switzerland since becoming the commentator for SRF. He has presented a number of the Swiss selection process and provides on the ground reporting from the contest for SRF. SRF will broadcast the two semi-finals on SRF Zwei, while the final will be broadcast on SRF Eins.
Zibbz were selected to represent Switzerland at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest after they won the Swiss national final show, a staggering 88 points ahead of second place. At the contest, they will be singing their song “Stones”. Get to know more about the duo here.

Bullying stops people from dreaming. It happens everywhere and, of course, putting yourself down is also a form of bullying.
Switzerland hosted the first Eurovision Song Contest in 1956 a contest that they won. Lys Assia won the first contest with the song “Refrain”, it wasn’t until 1988 that Switzerland would win the contest again. At the contest in Dublin, it was Celine Dion with “Ne partez pas sans moi” who beat the United Kingdom to victory by just 1 point. In recent years Switzerland has finished last five times since 2004. In the past three years, Switzerland has failed to reach the final.
