Cláudia Pascoal and Isaura have travelled to Almada, Portugal to film their postcard for the Eurovision Song Contest.
The singers representing host country Portugal, Cláudia Pasocal and Isaura, are the latest singers to film their postcard. The pair shared their adventure on their social media channels, as they explored the area. The recording was also extended to the NRP Sagres III , known as Sagres Ship-School.
The postcards are short clips that are shown to the audience while the artist gets ready on stage. The following artists have also filmed their postcards:

Cláudia Pascoal feat. Isuara will represent Portugal on home soil this May. They won Festival da Canção at the end of February withthe winner of the show decided by 50% public voting and 50% jury voting. Public voting had been open for a week before the show while the jury vote was formed of a combination of regional juries. As there was a tie for first place, the public vote took preference. Having won the public vote, Cláudia Pascoal will now be the first ever Portuguese Eurovision representative to compete on home ground.
Portugal debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1964 represented by António Calvário, the country finished last scoring nul points. Prior to 2016, the best result of Portugal in the contest was 6th place. This 6th place came in 1996 when Lúcia Moniz performed “O meu coração não tem cor” on stage in Oslo, Norway. She scored 92 points receiving 12 points from both Norway and Cyprus. Since their debut in 1964 Portugal has missed a total of five contests, the latest being in 2016. After their spectacular win last May, in Kyiv, Portugal will host the 2018 edition of the contest in the capital, Lisbon.
