Zibbz have discussed their staging plans for Lisbon, in the latest of their weekly Eurovision blogs.
This years Swiss Eurovision participants have discussed their rehearsals for Lisbon in their latest blog post. Zibbz have detailed their search for a show director for Lisbon and the features that they want to outline in their performance in May.
The siblings state that;
…We concluded that we want to highlight the MUSIC. That’s what it’s all about. And we don’t want to distract from that. However, another huge part of making it work is the movement of the cameras (something we have not had to be concerned about so far) as well as the lighting. This is why it is so valuable to have an amazing Team with us that knows exactly what to expect. We are beyond grateful.
Zibbz were selected to represent Switzerland at this year’s Eurovision Song Contest after they won the Swiss national final show, a staggering 88 points ahead of second place. At the contest, they will be singing their song “Stones”. Get to know more about the duo here.
According to Zibbz, their song has a clear message:
Bullying stops people from dreaming. It happens everywhere and, of course, putting yourself down is also a form of bullying.
Switzerland hosted the first Eurovision Song Contest in 1956 a contest that they won. Lys Assia won the first contest with the song “Refrain”, it wasn’t until 1988 that Switzerland would win the contest again. At the contest in Dublin, it was Celine Dion with “Ne partez pas sans moi” who beat the United Kingdom to victory by just 1 point. In recent years Switzerland has finished last five times since 2004. In the past three years, Switzerland has failed to reach the final.
