The first artists to appear at Israel’s promotional event ‘Israel Calling’ have been revealed.
Israel Calling is just one of many promotional Eurovision events to take place this year. The event will take place from 8th-11th April, with the main event taking place on the 10th. This is the third year that the promotional party will take place, and, as always, the event will run for four days. In this time, artists will have the opportunity to explore Jerusalem, meet the Minister of Jerusalem Mr. Ze’ev Elkin, attend a red carpet event and press conference, as well as planting trees in the Eurovision Forest.
Confirmed so far is:
- Belarus – Alekseev
- FYR Macedonia – Eye Cue
- Georgia – Iriao
- Ireland – Ryan O’Shaughnessy
- Israel (host country) – Netta Barzilai
- Montenegro – Vanja Radovanovic
- Spain – Alfred and Amaia
- Switzerland – Zibbz
The main event will take place on the 10th April, in which all participants will perform their Eurovision entries for an Israeli audience. According to an official press release, a total of 25 artists have confirmed their participation in the event so far. Last year a total of 28 artists went to Israel as part of their promotional tour. The participating artists will be released on the Israel Calling social media channels.
The Israel Calling project was produced by Tali Eshkoli, and is sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Jerusalem and Heritage, the Ministry of Tourism, KKL, Herzliya Municipality and Tel Aviv Municipality.
