The music video for Armenia’s Eurovision 2018 entry will be released on March 21st.
The official Eurovision YouTube channel announced yesterday that the music video for “Qami” will be released next Wednesday. It has been speculated that the song has undergone a revamp since it won its selection a few months ago.
The singer behind “Qami” is Sevak Khanagyan from Metsavan.ย ย The singer first came onto the music scene when he took part in Glavnaya Stsena, the Russian version of The X Factor, in 2015. He was eliminated in the quarterfinals. He then went on to compete in The Voice of Russia but was again eliminated. He had more success a year later, however, as he won the seventh season of The X Factor Ukraine. He later returned to his home country to become a coach on The Voice of Armenia.
Sevak Khanagyan will represent Armenia at this yearโs Eurovision Song Contest in Lisbon, Portugal in May. He was chosen after he won Depi Evratesil 2018, the Armenian selection show, with his song โQamiโ.
