Tonight Lithuania holds the last national selection of the 2018 season, with six artists vying to represent the nation this May in Lisbon, Portugal.
Following three months of selection shows just six artists remain in the running to represent Lithuania in Lisbon, Portugal. Tonight’s show comes live from the Žalgirio Arena in Kaunas, the largest indoor arena in Lithuania.
Since January 6, fifty singers have taken part in eight shows, with the final six performing tonight. The six singers who are taking to the stage this evening are:
- Ieva Zasimauskaitė – “When We’re Old”
- Jurgis Bruzga – “4Love”
- Kotryna Juodzeviciute – “That Girl”
- Monika Marija – “The Truth”
- Paula – “1 2 3”
- The Roop – “Yes, I Do”
The winner tonight will be decided by 50% public televote and 50% jury voting. There will be no super-final as seen in other nations selections. In the event of a tie break the song that receives the highest points from the jury will be declared the winner.
Two singers who will also be competing in this years contest in Lisbon will be performing as interval acts tonight. Saara Aalto from Finland will be performing “Monsters”, while Iceland’s Ari Olafsson will sing “Our Choice”. Iceland was the first country in the world to recognise Lithuania’s Independence from the Soviet Union on 11 January 1991. Lithuania is currently celebrating 100 years as an independent country.
Also performing in the final are past Lithuanian Eurovision participants Fusedmarc (2017) and Sasha Song (2009). Alongside these singers are Bjelle, Thundertale, Original Copy, Monique.
