Franka has revealed that a snippet of the Croatian entry, “Crazy” will be revealed on February 26.
A snippet of “Crazy”, Croatia’s entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 will be revealed in just under a weeks time. Franka Batelić who was internally selected to represent Croatia in Lisbon, has spoken in the past day about her hopes for this years contest.
Franka revealed that she has dreamed of going to Eurovision since 1994, when as a little girl she watched Tony Cetinski.
Now that dream has been realised, she cannot wait for perform this May in Lisbon. HRT approached Franka’s management a number of months ago, adding;
I want to succeed in our goal – to make Croatia whole with pride.
“Crazy” was one of three songs that her team pitched to HRT. The song was originally not planned for the Eurovision Song Contest with Branimir Mihaljević giving Franka the melody to work with before she added some lyrics to the music.
The music video for “Crazy” is currently in the final stages of being filmed. The music video will be created by Sandra Mihaljević and Igor Ivanović who Franka has worked with on previous songs.
Franka will perform in the second half of the first semi-final on May 8. HRT will broadcast all three shows on HRT 1, HR 2 and on phones, tablets and computers via HRTi multimedia service.

Croatia in the Eurovision Song Contest
Croatia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1993, they were one of three countries to debut in the contest that year. Croatia’s best result came in 1999 when Doris Dragovic finished 4th in Jerusalem. She performed the song “Marija Magdalena” which scored a total of 118 points, this included 12 points from Slovenia and Spain. Croatia returned to the contest in 2016 having withdrawn after the 2013 contest due to a string of poor results and financial difficulties.
