Talking to Super.cz Mikolas Josef has spoken about his ambitions for his music career. The singer who admits that he doesn’t really pay much attention to the Czech music scene, is already looking at a career outside of the Czech Republic following the Eurovision Song Contest. The singer commented;
I would like to continue to perform abroad, try to make America, we are already talking with some people, something may come out before Eurovision, but I do not want to overtake it, in any case it is the dream
Mikolas Josef has already kicked off his promotional tour for the Eurovision Song Contest 2018. On Saturday night he performed in the first semi-final of Vidbir 2018, while today he is in Portugal to film his postcard for the contest in May.
The Czech Republic’s entrant in the Eurovision Song Contest, Mikolas Josef has been working on a clean version of his song for this years contest, “Lie To Me”. The song which won the Czech selection process earlier this week, currently contains a number of expletives which cannot be performed on the Eurovision stage.
Czech Republic are hoping that 2018 will see their fortunes reversed. After finally qualifying for the final for the first time ever in 2016, last year Martina Bárta could only manage 13th Place in the semi-final with her entry ‘My Turn’. This meant that once more, Czech Republic were not present in the final in Kyiv.
