Mikolas Josef kicks off his international promotional tour as he travels to Ukraine to perform at the first semi-final of Vidbir 2018.
Mikolas Josef continues a busy schedule after winning the Czech selection process for Eurovision 2018. Following his journey to Portugal to shoot his postcard for Lisbon, Mikolas will head to Kyiv for the weekend. Mikolas will perform at the first semi-final of the Ukrainian selection process, Vidbir 2018.
In recent years a number of participants have traveled to Ukraine to promote their songs in the contest, among those to have performed on Vidbir are:
- Alma – France 2017
- Barei – Spain 2016
- Naviband – Belarus 2017
- Nicky Byrne – Ireland 2016
The Czech Republic’s entrant in the Eurovision Song Contest, Mikolas Josef has spent the last two weeks working on a clean version of his song for this years contest, “Lie To Me”. The song which won the Czech selection process earlier this week, currently contains a number of expletives which cannot be performed on the Eurovision stage.
Czech Republic are hoping that 2018 will see their fortunes reversed. After finally qualifying for the final for the first time ever in 2016, last year Martina Bárta could only manage 13th Place in the semi-final with her entry ‘My Turn’. This meant that once more, Czech Republic were not present in the final in Kyiv.
