The final 5 tracks to compete in Armenia’s Eurovision selection, ‘Depi Evratesil’, were released earlier today.
The tracks released today are the final 5 entries to take part in this year’s Armenian selection. Their release follows the staggered release of the other 15 entries over the past week. All songs are available in full to listen to on the selection’s official YouTube channel.
The 5 songs released today were:
- “Escape” – Maria’s Secret
- “Fade” – Mariam
- “Get Away With Us” – Robert Koloyan
- “If You Don’t Walk Me Home” – Lusine Mardanyan
- “Shoga” – Gata Band
These songs will join the 15 songs released earlier this week:
- “Enamórame” – Hayk Kasparov
- “Follow the Ocean” – Tyom
- “Forever” – Mger Armenia
- “Heartbeat” – Angel
- “I’m a Liar” – Nemra
- “Poison (Ari Ari)” – Tamar Kaprelian
- “Puerto Rico” – Kamil Show
- “Qami” – Sevak Khanagyan
- “Stand Up” – Gevorg Harutyunyan
- “Stare at Me” – Alternativ
- “The Voice” – Suren Poghosyan
- “Unbreakable” – Zhanna Davtyan
- “Waiting For the Sun” – Amaliya Margaryan
- “What You Hide” – Arman Mesropyan
- “You & I” – Asmik Shiroyan
This year’s edition of ‘Depi Evratesil’ will take place on 24th February, with the winner being determined 50/50 by viewers and an international jury. This will be the first time since 2013 that the Armenian public will have a say in the song that will represent their country in the Eurovision Song Contest. Last year marked their first national final since 2013, however it was only used to selected the artist with the song being internally selected at a later date. Last year’s champion, Artsvik, finished in 18th place in the Eurovision Grand Final in Kyiv with “Fly With Me”.

Armenia debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest in 2006 and has participated every year since, excluding 2012. Armenia’s best results came in 2008 and 2014 when they finished 4th in the final. They have only once failed to qualify for the final, in 2011, when Emmy finished in 12th with “Boom Boom”. She was 1 point away from qualifying for the final. At the 2017 contest in Kyiv, Armenia was represented by Artsvik and the song “Fly with Me”, which finished in 18th place in the final with 79 points.
