This morning the second wave of tickets for the Grand Final of the Eurovision Song Contest 2018 went on sale.
The second wave of tickets for the Eurovision 2018 Grand Final went on sale this morning, and have now sold out. Sold today were multiple categories for the Grand Final, such as the remaining standing tickets and the majority of seated tickets. Also sold today were tickets for the Grand Final Jury show, and the Family show. As of right now, there are still some tickets available for these shows.
More tickets, including tickets for the semi-finals, will be released in January following the semi-final allocation draw, which will take place on Monday 29th January 2018. It has been revealed that there will be four waves of ticket sales in total.
The 63rd Eurovision Song Contest will take place in Lisbon, Portugal next year. The contest is to take place at the Altice Arena. The first semi-final will take place on 8th May, the second semi-final on 10th May, and the Grand Final will take place on 12th May. This is the first time Portugal has hosted a Eurovision event.
A total of 43 countries will take part in the 2018 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest. This includes Russia, as they return to the contest after a year break. The 43 participating countries are:
- Czech Republic
- FYR Macedonia
- The Netherlands
- San Marino
- United Kingdom
The official slogan for next year’s contest is “All Aboard!”, and was chosen to represent a celebration of Europe and music. The slogan was inspired by Lisbon’s longstanding history as an important global seaport and the importance of the ocean in Portugal’s history.
